Bob's Story Part 2

Hello again friends and family. I am Bob Mover and I play the saxophone. First of all, Thanks again to all who contributed to my initial campaign to purchase my portable respirator. It is working well and I am so appreciative.  Now I must start the next phase of my battle with COPD/Emphysema, which I was diagnosed with in 2010. For those who do not know what this is here is a definition that will give you an idea: Emphysema is a condition in which the air sacs of the lungs are damaged and enlarged, causing breathlessness. It is a long-term, progressive disease that attacks the lung tissue causing the airflow to be slowed or stopped because of inflammation..This enables me to only  use a small percentage of my breathing  capacity. It is like breathing through a straw.
There is no known cure for emphysema that has been approved by the FDA. However, there are procedures that are being tested. Consequently no insurance company will finance the Stem Cell procedure that may be my only hope. I have had stem cell procedures using my Adipose(fat) cells. They have succeeded in preventing the disease from worsening to some extent, but have not improved my condition. I believe I have found a stem cell procedure that stands a good chance of improving my condition. The procedure uses my fat cells along with blood cells, and most importantly my bone marrow stem cells to create new stem cells that will replace the damaged lung cells with renewed ones. The procedure will be done by a company called Regenestem, based in Miami. Fl. My wife, Dr. Polina Liss, who is an internist with her own practice here in NYC, and I have spoken with Ricardo DeCuba and Reid Eckert, the CEO's of Regenstem(TM) and want to go ahead with the procedure.
Regenestem will be coming to NYC for 2 days on 7/22/16 and 7/23/16. They will be training doctors and treating patients on these days. The cost is $3,000 USD for the patient to receive the cells and $2500 USD for the doctor to receive the training. That means that Polina will treat me and learn the process to make the stem cells( and also to freeze some for future use). So for $5500, I could end up breathing freely again and improving my quality of life. If I don't try this then my only chance would be with a lung transplant in which I've been told that my lungs were too porous so I wouldn't be a good candidate.
So, once again I must ask my friends and fans to help me out if possible. I thank you all for reading this and hope you can share my story and would greatly appreciate your help.
Sincerely, Bob Mover
