Hi, my name is Lila and I'm 16 years old. This upcoming year I will be a Junior in high school. Being my junior year I should start thinking about what I want to do when I graduate high school.
I received a letter in the mail informing me that I have been selected to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum: National Security- Diplomacy, Intelligence, and Defense. It is being held in Washington DC this fall 2016. With this opportunity I will be able to connect with and speak to representatives from all five Armed Service Branches, the FBI, the CIA, private corporations, Law and Diplomacy Experts, Intelligence Offciers and Agents, Counter-Terrorism Specialists, Military Commanders, and Wounded Warriors. This program also will give me the chance to tour Foreign Embassies, Policy Centers, Military Installations, Monuments and Memorials, and Smithsonian Museums. I think this trip will help me learn how to become a better individual and allow me to look into these important fields our country has to offer as a possible career path.

I recently moved in with my mom so this trip wasn't exactly ideal financially. If you could help me fund for this trip I would greatly appreciate it. This trip will provide me the tools that will help my career goals become a reality. I am really looking forward to exploring possible career opportunities and expanding my education.
