Fundraiser For Last Surgery

Foremost I want you all to know I’m tearing up because I know how blessed I am to have extraordinary souls in my life and that I have faith in divine order that whether you contribute to my life financially or through support and love, I’m grateful for it all.
I feel awkward and uncomfortable with such an overwhelming emotion of defeat, failure and embarrassment going this route. I have had an almost five-year battle with uncontrolled Graves’ Disease and Cancer with metastasis of my lymph nodes that began April 2016.
I have one final surgery scheduled December 2nd, 2020 to fix issues still left with my skin grafts due to second and third degree burns from radiation, scar tissue removal, closing a pressure ulcer and to remove my portacath for chemo.
Monday I found out my cancer markers are still negative and that I remain cancer free since July 2nd 2020.
I also found out Monday that through gross errors of my place of employment I have no insurance coverage.
COBRA will be charging me $4500 to reinstate me for October and November. I found out Tuesday that because of this error my upcoming surgery was also denied.
The bottom line is that it does me no good to be angry at entities that are not concerned with their errors or responsibilities. My hospital is also changing insurance coverage beginning 2021 so if I do not get this surgery before the end of the year it will cost me even more and may not even be an option for me.
I can come up with $2500 toward the $4500 and had already planned to max out my credit for the $2000 surgeon cost I have to pay upfront for December’s surgery. But after five years, five surgeries, chemo, radiation etc I have no resources left and no other way to move forward. I’m sick of crying and am determined to do my best to make this happen. I have to. Thank you for caring enough to give this a read and I am grateful for you PERIOD. I know these are hard times for everyone so I do not wish to make anyone feel uncomfortable.
