This was made by Hayleys Family :) We would like to thank you for visiting this page. Hayley is a loving daughter, granddaughter, niece and friend to so many. She is an amazing and energetic coach and co-worker as well. Hayley is known for her positive attitude, sense of humor, creativity, organization, and astounding work ethic in all that she does and plans. Hayley is usually helping others. She works for First Federal Savings Bank and is an assistant volleyball coach with Team Mascoutah Volleyball Club. Her loyalty and dedication to her family and friends is unwavering. However, the past five months have been extremely difficult. As some of you may or may not know Hayley was diagnosed in 2012 with MEN-1 which causes tumors on pituitary glands, parathyroid, and pancreas. These tumors can become active cancer quickly so they must be treated or ultimately removed. In 2012 she had surgery to remove three golf ball size tumors along with over 2/3 of her pancreas. They also removed her spleen at this time. Because of this she has to be very careful when she starts feeling ill since her body cannot fight immunities like others. During these past eight years, Hayley has gone through countless infections and an overwhelming amount of tests. She started feeling sick more often these past few years and simply believed she had to accept this pain as her normal. She lives with sharp chest pain, fevers, exhaustion, joint pain, bloating, and nausea regularly. She has been in the hospital and at Siteman Cancer Center frequently for fluids, antibiotics, and sometimes 2 and 3 times a week for scans, labs, appointments, and tests. Hayley has an oncology team of doctors and an infectious disease team of doctors who are highly educated and experienced working on her case. What she is experiencing is rare to say the least. These teams of doctors have found that Hayley has several new tumors growing on her pancreas, glands, and more developing in her body. This newest spot on her pancreas is active cancer. Hayley is currently undergoing a series of stabilizing chemo injections and will eventually have surgery to remove the cancerous tumor on her pancreas. She currently takes daily antibiotics for post splenectomy sepsis while waiting for surgery as well.
Your generosity can help lighten the load for the medicines that are not covered by insurance and also the countless trips back and forth for treatments and hospitalizations. Your kind donation will go directly to Hayley in a specified account to help her and her family deal with the financial repercussions of her current condition. This allows them to focus on healing and progressing with the best quality of life possible day to day. #HealHayley
