Last July my husband and I took guardianship of my nephew. The transition has been difficult over that last 11 months because he has suffered through physical and psychological abuse, as well as being bounced from home to home. When he came to us he was withdrawn, and had erratic outbursts. He suffered from severe anxiety and depression, among other things. Since he has been with us and getting the proper care and love, he has been thriving and is happy. He is totally different child than he was last year. He is finally getting a chance at a normal childhood. Now we are fighting to keep him safe and in our home, where he is very much loved and cared for like our own child. He needs stability and a normal childhood and he is receiving that with us. Unfortunately because I am not his parent we are in for a fight. In order to make that happen we need to retain a lawyer ASAP because time is running out. Please consider helping if possible!
