HELP FUND DOLLY'S RESCUE FEES!

Donation protected
Hi frands!

This beautiful old girl is named Dolly... and she NEEDS OUR HELP!

As some of you may already know, our neighborhood has acquired a couple gorgeous old hound dogs. We live in a very rural area, and some a$$hole breeders clearly dumped these precious souls once they were done using them for puppies. It is obvious that both animals have been abused and they are very fearful and cautious of everyone and everything. These doggos showed up in our neighborhood about a week before our own well-loved dog passed over the rainbow bridge. I wasn't ready for a new pet then... But now i am. Because Dolly needs me. Dolly needs our help.

Dolly & Daisy have been going back and forth between our house and the neighbors for a couple months now. The younger one (Daisy) is very friendly and much more healthy, but she wanders! She managed to get herself picked up by someone and taken to the shelter all the way in Knox. Our neighbor went and retrieved her and is keeping her in her barn till she gets healthier.

Dolly though... Dolly seems to have arthritis, and the cold is not being kind to her joints. She feels safest on our covered porch and only really leaves to use the restroom and to visit Daisy at the neighbor's barn. She seems to be at least partially blind, making her more fearful. And in the woods we live in, that could be a death sentence for her. Coyotes, bears, bobcats, foxes, etc.

It has truly taken the full past two months to gain even the teeniest bit of her trust. She had a bad case of mange and goopy eyes. Lilly has been lovingly picking ticks off of her for weeks. And cleaning her eyes. She even tried to give her a bath with a bucket on the porch. She still stinks. Lol. I had Kurt pick her up and carry her in the house last night, because she did not like the leash and would not walk. She slept more soundly last night than I've ever seen her sleep, and now she doesn't even want to leave to potty. When we open the door she stows up and starts to shake a little. Poor sweet girl!

I scheduled a vet appt for her, but realistically, we cannot afford the treatment i am certain she is going to need. There will be a fee for the exam, grooming, the shots she needs, whatever meds she will need for parasites/mange/arthritis/vision, etc. I also found out our vet does not do payment plans.

This is what led me to creating this fundraiser for her! This little old mama dog has stolen our hearts and we need your help to give her the life she deserves. Truth be told, i will never know her full story, but those hound dog eyes say so much. When i look at her, i feel all the bad things she has been through (though i don't KNOW what they are), but i also feel hope. Hope that before this ol girl's time is up one day, we can show her ehat it means to be cared for and loved...what it means to have CHOSEN FAMILY.

Please consider donating to Dolly's future!

I have guesstimated the amount we may need. The goal will be adjusted accordingly if more/less is needed. But please remember GoFundMe takes a small fee, and any remaining donation money will be used for food, bones, toys, bedding... all the things a well-loved pooch deserves!
