Pray Fight Defeat: Tony's Aggresive Battle
Donation protected
Hi everyone, so in case you don't already know, my dad Tony Torres Jr. was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer back in February of this year. When we recieved the bad news, obviously we were very concerned for my dad's health and to think of what may lie ahead. My dad immediately felt like he was in a dark place, and the worst part was that he felt defeated, like that was the end of the world. One thing my dad knew for sure was that although the doctors had confirmed one thing, the only one who decides the final word is the Man above. Our LORD is so good, He will never leave anyone in darkness. ❤ As a couple months passed, my dad was actually doing great! He had began some oral treatments, he kept his faith strong, his body had been reacting well, he even began building a game room in the backyard so he can place his pool table in! I thank God for those good days my dad had experienced while fighting this battle. Some months passed, and unfortunately, up until just a short few weeks ago, the cancer became much more than what we were told. My dad has been in constant pain from his back, hips, and legs. His bones hurt to the touch. His appetite has changed dramatically, in my dads own words, "I can't eat while I'm in so much pain." While battling the cancer itself in different areas of his body, we also were told there are tumors present and they could be causing a lot of his pain. Clearly the cancer has already spread and it is so scary to know that it's become more aggressive. I know my dad has so much faith in the LORD, he has prayed every single day since this took place, and we believe he has a lot of prayers out there for healing going his way. With that being said, my dad is currently recieving Cyberknife Radiation at the Stanford Hospital and will soon be needing chemotherapy as well. This road has not been easy. Thankfully, my mom Rosalinda has been staying near the hospital in a motel, we all know that things can get pretty expensive and it looks like my dad will be staying in the hospital a bit longer than expected, but thats ok, as long as he is getting the correct care and respect he deserves. I am simply asking for any donations to help with traveling expenses to help cover my mom and dad's stay as well as food and necessities needed during this time. ANYTHING HELPS. ❤ With COVID-19 taking place, my mom is the only designated visitor who can actually see my dad during his stay at the hospital. She sees the pain and hurt my dad expresses, and i know my mom is very overwhelmed right now. I miss my parents so much and we just need my dad to get stronger so that we can have them home again and Godwilling my dad will be able to enjoy life again. We truly appreciate all the prayers, love and support many have shown. THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS. I know times are hard for many of us right now, but any amount of donations truly is appreciated, and if you aren't able to donate simply just donate your time to PRAY AND SHARE this story. God bless you all.
