Burpees For Autism
In 2000, John and Christine Lubbock set up the charity Music For Autism inspired by the difficult yet touching journey they had with their son Ali who was diagnosed with autism just before his second birthday
Since then, Music For Autism has helped over 100,000 children with autism through the power of music and music therapy by taking world class musicians to them, within an environment in which they could express themselves and behave exactly how the music influenced them too. Some ran. Some sat. Some went to sleep. Some came alive. Some were silent for the first time. Some made a sound for the first time. Some conducted. Some sang. The results have been extraordinary and still blow everyone who witnesses the effects it has on these incredible children
On October the 9th, Adam, Ali’s brother is raising money for the charity by travelling 33,000m on a Ski Erg, 30,000m on a Bike Erg, running 33km (33,000m) and 1000 Burpees. Every metre and rep to represent every child that Music For Autism has helped since it began!
Please donate what you can. The work that is done by all those involved at Music For Autism is not just enriching the lives for these children but for their families, friends and amazing carers
