Roxy’s Journey

Hello everyone, Our dearest Roxy needs our help. Roxy has been fighting a hard fight for the past 6 years. In 2014, Roxy began her battle with breast cancer. She underwent surgery, completed a round of chemo and radiation like the champ! Roxy, a hardworking single mom, eagerly returned to work as a Certified Nurse Assistant on 3 Tower at PIH Health Hospital in Whittier, Ca. Her radiance shined through her work. Always a smile on her face, she took pride in caring for the sick. She often stayed behind after her shift to pray with her patients and comfort them any way she could. Roxy is a carrier of the BRCA (breast cancer) gene. Her cancer soon returned, but the fight continued for Roxy. She underwent hormone modulator treatment and participated in a clinical trial. She left no treatment option left unexplored. She would do anything it took to live for her son, Brandon and to help others. In her exact words, “even if I could help one other woman by doing this clinical trial, it will be worth it.” Despite a clinical trial of dual chemotherapies, multiple radiation therapy sessions, surgery after surgery. The cancer has continued to spread. Roxy has given her all, to others, her friends, her family, and her son. Her wishes include the most simple tender of wishes such as making it to see her son’s next birthday (this coming Thanksgiving), Christmas, and seeing her son graduate high school. Roxy and her family have dedicated themselves to save her life and could now use any amount of love, support, donations, thoughts and prayers. All monetary donations will contribute to medical care costs accumulated throughout this fight, to keep Roxy comfortable at this time, and future support for her 6 year old son Brandon.
