Help Pay Surgery Bills
Hey there, my name is Dylan, and I'm setting up a fundraiser for my partner Jamie. A few months ago they started experiencing some issues with their stomach and we decided to get it looked at. After a few months of various appointments, Jamie was given a colonoscopy to remove a polyp in their intestines. It was thankfully discovered early enough that it wasn't cancerous, and our insurance covered most of the procedure costs, but we've been left with over $1000 in medical bills to pay, and there are some upcoming appointments for other health issues that will likely result in more on top of our current balance, and Jamie has reached his insurance coverage limit of $3000 for the rest of the year...
We just moved into a new apartment after living in a completely unlivable one last year, so we don't have a lot saved up right now after our moving expenses. I have a full time job as a health insurance biller and Jamie works part-time at Six Flags. Our combined income isn't enough to pay the balance and stay on top of our rent and utilities, plus other expenses. Our monthly rent is around $1020.00, and I'm paying off my $40,000 student loans. I'm also about to pay $195.00 for a traffic lawyer who helped me resolve a speeding ticket.
Our main goal is to pay off the medical expenses, but if we reach that, we'd really appreciate any additional donations to help us feel more secure financially, so that we can be prepared for any other possible unexpected expenses. We just need some breathing room so that we can save up for other emergencies in the future.
