Wildlife Haven Waterloo's Winter Fundraiser

Dear Wildlife Haven Waterloo Friends, We have had an increased volume of animals to rescue and emergency care/vet bills this past summer and now going into the fall/winter season. As much as we dislike having to ask, we have an urgent need, so we are raising funds to address the current financial shortfall that WHW has been facing, so we can continue to winter the current animal patients and rescue new animals in need. As many of our supporters know, we rely on the generous support of donations as well as out of our own pockets to ensure that we are able to keep our doors open to rescue, treat and rehabilitate all of our wildlife that come into our care on a weekly basis. A day in the life of wildlife rehabilitation is not only rewarding but carries a lot of responsibility. Wildlife Haven Waterloo takes in injured, abused and sick animals, aids in rescue missions, travels within Ontario to pickup wildlife and transport them for veterinary care/surgeries or to transport them to sanctuaries or rehabs for further rehabilitation. We also provide educational presentations to our communities to better understand and appreciate our surrounding wildlife, so that we can co-exist with them in a respectful manner. In the last 13 years, WHW could not have come this far without the generous support of caring individuals who have truly believed in our mission to rescue furry individuals in need. With that said, we are reaching out to our supporters near and far to help us get through this winter season without wondering how we will get through another week of specialized food/grocery bills to feed our animals in care, vet/surgery/emergency/rescue bills, gas for transporting animals and pain/vet prescribed medications that can get quite expensive; along with miscellaneous items that we are always needing such as garbage bags, gloves, feeding instruments, hay, clumping litter etc . With the holiday season around the corner, we ask our supporters to help us continue our life saving work to help animals in need at WHW. It will make a world of a difference to an animal in need.
