Let's be honest cancer ain't cheap!

In July, 2020 I initially went in for an unrelated health issue and asked about a suspiciously large lymph node , the doctor was concerned and asked me to pursue further testing. I took the doctor’s advice and after many blood tests and a CT scan that discovered a 9cm mass (size of a grapefruit) in my pelvis, I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer.
The treatments and surgeries I've had so far include:
- A surgery to remove the enlarged (cancerous) lymph node in my neck.
- An abdominal surgery where they intended to remove my uterus, ovaries, the large mass and 30
lymph nodes in my lower abdomen and pelvic area. Unfortunately, my oncologist
discovered the cancerous tumors had surrounded and attached themselves to a major artery
going to my left leg and the pelvic wall on my right side. At that time he decided it would be too
dangerous to my life to remove ANY of the tumors and closed me back up.
-Presently, I am going through three months of intense chemo to shrink the tumors.
After three months of chemo my doctors will re-evaluate if progress has been made in shrinking the tumors. If my oncologist decides it is safe, we will proceed with another abdominal surgery to remove as many tumors as possible. After recovering from surgery I will continue with chemo to kill any remaining cancerous cells.
This GoFundMe is specifically for non-covered medical expenses. Due to medical restrictions I am currently unable to return to work so I have no source of income at this time. The goal amount that I'm asking for is in the hope that when my battle with cancer is done and won I will then donate all the remaining funds to a homeless shelter and to a cancer research of my choosing.
