Help my new family after my spinal cord surgery
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I cannot begin to thank everyone for all the love and support as I recently underwent my THIRD spinal cord surgery. It’s with a heavy heart that unfortunately my tumor has been diagnosed as cancer. My team of neurosurgeons and oncologists told me that I have surpassed my life expectancy and I could potentially pass from this they just aren’t sure when. I have been getting the best care at UCSF since this journey began for me when I was a teenager. They have done everything in their power to try and treat this tumor from the very beginning in 2010 but truth be told my tumor is so rare their isn’t enough study on it to know how to properly treat it. I will undergo radiation treatment like I did in 2016 as well as chemotherapy which is new for me. This will be a generic version of treatment to start. I will be getting MRIs every two months to monitor the growth of the tumor. If it continues to grow back I will do chemotherapy, to try and give me the longest and best quality of life. I feel extremely blessed and lucky to be where I am today given all that I have already been through and still going through!
I’m asking for your help. I have too much pride normally to ask for help (my family and friends can vouch for this). Given the circumstances that I have a 3 almost 4 month old, my fiancé who has taken time off work to take care of her and me who was our soul provider. I’m asking for any type of donation, a share, a prayer. We still have our bills on top making sure our daughter has what she needs. I am uncertain of my future but I am certain we will do whatever it takes to make sure my daughter and TJ are taken care of. Thank you for reading. The power of a prayer, share and donation can do wonders for my family.
Much love,
Jade, TJ & baby K
