down but not out

I’m doing this on behalf of my friend who was brutally raped. I cannot disclose her name or details of what is going on. What I can say is that the person who did this to her is powerful, and has a lot of powerful friends. She had to leave all her belongings behind, and start completely new. I’m doing this because she shouldn’t have to continue to suffer, but due to the circumstances, she’s unable to have things like LinkedIn (something most companies ask for these days); she’s unable to make meaningful connections without fearing betrayal, and she’s unable to take care of the basic needs her dogs have at the moment.

 

If you’re able to, any amount would help to ease her situation a little bit so she can put food on the table for herself and her doggos and pay rent until she’s able to find a compassionate employer who will understand her circumstance by not demanding things like an online presence. Someone who will protect her from further harm.

 

It would mean a lot to me if you could help my friend out. I have known her for many years, and she does not deserve this.
