March 14th my mom set out to bring my aunt back home from Germany to the USA. It's now 3 months later and she is still in Germany. My aunt Toni is a US Citizen who moved to Germany because she was married to a German man who she is no longer with. (Long story but the German government has control over her health/finance decisions at this point)

She is being denied permission to leave the nursing home facility she is living in by a judge that is allowing the same doctor that was responsible for her malnutrition control over her destiny.

She was so sick from malnutrition, that the ICU she was taken to believed she must have Bone Marrow Cancer-she does not. Not only does she not have cancer, after receiving blood transfusion and nutrients is doing better than ever. Every time we turn around they want more tests on her health to see if she is stable enough to fly home. The ICU Doctor who treated her said she is completely safe to fly, but the nursing home doctor says "how can she be healthy enough to fly, she was just in the ICU?" Amazing how quickly people get well with proper nutrition. We can't get the
judge to understand that the ICU doctors who brought her back to health quickly actually have her best interest at heart, not the doctor from the nursing home who only says he checks on her weekly but doesn't show.

It's costing about $3,000/mo to keep mom there. We have plane tickets for them as soon as they are released. We are hoping to raise some money, by doing this gofundme, to help with this effort. We really thought they would be home by now. We've been working with the US Embassy and an Oregon State Representative to try to get them home as well. Honesty anything helps!
