HELP FOR SICK HUSBAND AND FORCLOSURE
Donation protected
Hello family and friends,
We are starting a Go Fund Me page out of desperation. The 1st goal is for $65k to bring us out of foreclosure and $8k for doctor bill to make it possible for my husband, Bill to be seen by his digestive doctor. Secondary goal would be for the mortgage balance and the dr bill, totaling $258k.
We have been a team that did not ask for help, but always did, to the best of our ability, what we had to do. Unfortunately, this time doing the best We could to get through on our own, put us in an urgent situation.
My husband, Bill, was diagnosed with Crohns in 2011. At that time, the last 3 feet of his intestines had fistulas and ulcers. His organs are so swollen, that the radiologist could not get the scope In from the top or bottom during his colonoscopy. Bill went from a robust concrete finisher to a loss of 100lbs and unhealthy. His digestive doctor after a trial of meds started him on weekly $17,000 IV treatments. The treatments were helping him with gaining weight and not being doubled over into a fetal position of pain as he often was daily. Unfortunately, after going through the manufactures coupon of $50k & what insurance allowed, we could not afford the treatment cost. He did ok and got by for a while. In 2017 tragically, our daughter had a surgery to remove a tumor, we lost our, Loryn, my Ragamuffyn and daddy’s little girl.
After losing our daughter, Bill went downhill fast. Unable to start treatments or pay owed balance to the digestive doctor, my husband became worse. The doctor said he could do nothing to help due to unpaid
account. The doctor told Bill he had less time than we thought due to no treatment and to expect his organs to start shutting down.
Last week Due to being unable to eat or drink for six days, his organs tried to shut down but, God is good all the time. We hold Him at His Word and will not give up.
We have no savings. We did the responsible thing during the economy tank of 2008 and had to use Bill”s retirement to pay bills and mortgage. Our home instantly became $100k upside down. Now that we are $100k in equity with the mortgage company, we are in foreclosure due to Bill's inability to work. We did go to SSI and the agent said that at this time he would have to be out of work for a year to possibly get disability. Bill said, “I won’t be here.” Telling the SSI agent that we would lose our home that we raised our son and daughter, who we lost , and our grand babies in. The agent said sounds like that is what is going to happen At this point, I asked if there was another program we could check into; his response was no. The agent did tell us the good news is Bill could apply again when he was older at the appointed time allotted.
In summary, our daughter is still an unexpected loss and still so hard to come to grips with, We are not ready to lose our family home. We have too many created memories with our children here. We are not ready for that last blow. I am definitely not ready to lose my husband when it’s possible to be prevented.
We have both worked our entire adult lives, me from age of 9 and Bill age 15. We have never asked for a handout.
Thank you for your time and listening to our story of urgent hardship.
Sincerely,
Bill and Angelique
