Christina is the splitting image of Superwoman!  She is a pillar of strength and support to all who know her.  She is the one who is always lending a helping hand to others in need.  She is the life of the party and her smile can lighten up any room.  Christina is an extremely hardworking person who believes in doing things the right way the first time.  She goes the extra mile for her family, friends, coworkers.

Christina is a passionate, reliable, trustworthy, dedicated, funny, intelligent, loving person who is a beautiful soul inside and out.  Christina has two children, Mackenzie, and Chelsey.  If you know Christina, you know that being a mom and wife of 27 years to John, are the two greatest loves of her life.  Her eyes sparkle when speaking of her children, granddaughter Harper, and all her nieces and nephews.  She enjoys paddle boarding with her daughter and little dog, Cypress.  She loves to cook, bake (should I mention she makes the absolute best chocolate covered strawberries!) and host family/friend gatherings. She loves being out in nature and hanging out with her family and friends.

Christina has been a devoted employee at Multiple Intelligences’ Academy for the past 12 years.  She loves helping the children learn and discover.  One of her greatest joys is having a “lightbulb” go off and seeing the excitement in a child’s eyes when learning and discovering something new.  She delights in the camaraderie MIA staff share.

Christina and her family have had extremely challenging times with several heartbreaking events the past few years.   Her family said goodbye to a family member in April due to COVID. The last few years, they have also lost their aunt and brother in law.  In addition, Christina’s husband has also been fighting cancer the past three years and had a transplant this past summer.  He has been recovering in quarantine since April.  John (her husband) has been given the green light from UW to get back into society the same week Christina received the shocking news.

Christina has Metastatic Melanoma Stage 4 cancer.  She is unable to have chemo and radiation as her cancer is too advanced.  Her only option is a 12-week experimental treatment.  There is only 50% effectiveness.  Christina looked at the doctor and said “I am that 50%.  I have lots of life left- I have my daughters’ graduation, wedding and lots more grandchildren.

Christina will start treatment at SCCA/CCA this coming Tuesday.  Their family has had respective amounts of setbacks the past two years.  As you can imagine, the life changing events in the Parker family has been devastating. We would like to support Christina’s family with everyday living and overwhelming medical expenses.

Thank you in advance for your donation. Every bit helps. Christina’s family is extremely grateful for your generosity and support during this difficult time.   Believe in Miracles. Jackie Wotipka
