A service for our daddy

This morning my our entire world has changed, Leanndra went to take our dad to a doctor appointment, when she walked in she knew something wasn't right, she yelled for help and called 911, performed cpr, until the paramedics arrived to tell her that it was too late, he was gone. Our daddy had been in bad health for years, and even worse these past few months, it's been a real roller coaster, he's been in and out of the hospital so many times, Leanndra has been taking care of him and we all believed him to be on the road to recovery, we're all heart broken that he is no longer here but glad that he is no longer in pain and that we've all gained another angel go watch and protect our family.

Yesterday I found a beautiful poem that I planned to send to a friend who recently lost her mother, and I've found compfort in the words...

LIFE is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road
To sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We are all meant to learn some things
But never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place
Far greater then we know.
For some the journeys quicker,
For some, the journeys slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward
And find everlasting peace,
Together with the LORD.
