£269m on Brexit - £0 on ASD/SEN/SCHOOLS - Help Us

For my boys - One 8 years old - One 13 years old.

Both were excluded from schools - both scoring severe on the autistic spectrum after first private assessment. Both are urgent NHS referrals... BUT

H = Has waited for 2 years (NO date for next appointment after confirmation at MKGH on 16/01/2020 that H needs to see a Social Communication Disorder  specialist - 1st EHCP rejected Aug 2019 - Now have to wait until 16/03/2020 to see if the appeal has been successful!)

S =  Has waited for 2 years (NO date for next appointment after confirmation at MKGH on 16/01/2020 that S needs ADOS assessments - 1st EHCP rejected 2019 - Now gathering evidence to be able to appeal and find a safe place for Seb to be until he is diagnosed)

Today I have to find at least £6790 to pay for the tests/assessments and therapy that the experts say my boys need.

1. 2 x ASD Assessments = £3200 (Free on NHS but unknown waiting list)

2. 2 x Educational assessments = £1190 (The schools should fund this - H now has 1 on Monday at school)

3. 20 x Therapy Sessions per child = 40 x £60 per session = £2400 (Just an approximate for the campaign)

*** I have already paid over £1800 for play therapy, relate and a private behaviour specialist out of the small savings/settlement I had. ***

There are appointments are available next few weeks if we pay this to go private (Told by other parents that you still need the NHS to agree even if you go private). So many myths and so many desperate parents in the UK today!

I am a single mum, unsuccessful co-parenting, have my own business, and a mortgage - as this is the only way I can work to pay the bills. The last time I needed help after being assaulted - Children and Family practice told me to SEND AN EMAIL...

I need to work, I cannot afford to have a nanny on standby every day just in case the boys refuse school or get excluded... and I cannot afford what the boys need today to help make tomorrow better!

However, this is not just about raising money for my boys, as I am working hard to pay for all of the above (as soon as I can pay it ALL back to a charity that supports children with autism - I will!) or I will set up a new charity with the money as soon as I can - THIS is for every child suffering today, every parent like me that is stuck, desperate, alone, in debt, isolated and everything else that goes with raising children with complex needs and traumatic divorce/separation! http://www.puzzlecentre.org.uk/ Ultimately a new charity or maybe a charity that already exists like the puzzle centre that I can help our future entrepreneurs, children & community. As there are lots of famous people who have complex needs that have been very successful so it is time to be INCLUSIVE to all families, not just those who can pay for private services! #Inclusion

So this fundraising campaign has 2 phases...

#Phase1 - Funds for the boy's private assessments, education assessments and therapy (If I use the money raised for their assessments I promise that will 100% be donated back to charity asap)  = £6790 #Awareness #Campaign

#Phase2 - If this goes viral and we #MatchFund the amount of money that has been spent on Brexit to put back into schools and the NHS… Then I would love to fund a 2020 SEN school for Milton Keynes (nursery > 18 years / adulthood) for children/adults and future entrepreneurs who need our help!
