Praying for Bob Zych

Most of the Apopka community knows Bob Zych personally, and just about everyone in Apopka has heard of Zych Certified Auto Repair! For the last 40 years, Bob Zych has owned, and operated Zych Certified Auto, on the corner of Sheeler road, and 441 in Apopka! I met Bob in 1986 when I was 18 years old. Bob gave me my first job in Florida after I moved here from Buffalo , New York! He had already hired my brother George, and found out that I needed a job, but I didn't know much! Despite my lack of knowledge, and experience he hired me any ways! Sometimes it would get slow, and he wouldn't need me at the shop, but he felt bad sending me home! Instead of sending me home, he would send me to his house to cut grass, plant trees, and paint! He gave me a lot of advice that stuck with me, about family, business, and life in general! In the 30
Years since I met him, I have seen him help so many people, and be a loyal friend to all of us that have grown to love him over the years! About a year and a half ago, Bob became ill, and he went to get checked out. After weeks of tests, it was determined that Bob had a brain tumor! Over the next few months he worked, while waiting to get his surgery. Often times I would wonder how he was able to even be standing! I could tell he was in pain, his memory was deteriorating, his health declined rapidly! Some how he pushed through, and literally worked another six months, until he finally one day wanted to go to work in his heart, but his body told him otherwise! He spent three more months at home waiting on a specialist, and a date for surgery. He had the surgery this past June, and has experienced many setbacks, and complications! His business that he worked so hard for over the last 4 decades has been closed for months, and the bank is threatening foreclosure! It's time for Bob to come home for a long road to rehab., he has to learn how to talk again, walk, and pray that his memory loss is only temporary! The air conditioning system
At his house just stopped working the other day! First and foremost I as his friend, his wife, and kids, ask for prayers! Faith in God is the only hope we have for our dear Bob! If you are able and find in your heart to contribute to this fund to help the Zych family, it will be greatly appreciated!
