Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.  Here is the journey so far... Jessie had an inconclusive thyroid biopsy in October of 2019 after struggling with Hypothyroidism and Hashimotos for 14 years. We decided to have half of the thyroid removed in December and it came back having cancer so we opted to have the other half removed in January and it had cancer as well. Thankfully Papillary Thyroid cancer is one of the best ones to have and the hope was to not need any further treatment. Then CoVid hit and Jessie ended up with that as well in early March. After a brief hospital visit and double pneumonia things got better and she recovered. They have been monitoring her thyroid via scans and blood tests and recently have found that her thyroid markers are very higher, indicating the cancer is back and has spread. She will be having a series of scans and checkups and treatment in the next few weeks and unfortunately since moving and a new job, insurance hasn't quite kicked in yet. She needs to move forward with treatment however, so we do what we can. We appreciate your prayers, support and words of hope and encouragement.
