Recovery Chair for Mike Steele
Donation protected
As those of you who know him, always giving his best and attacking every challenge at 150% has been Mike’s approach to life. And despite the severity of his injuries from the accident on May 7th, he is approaching his recovery with the same tenacity. However as I attend his doctors' appointments with him I hear a consistent message of "slow down, your body needs rest to heal... these types of injuries are slow to heal". Mike thinks he can prove them wrong. ;-)
Many of you have reached out with care and concern for Mike and asked “What can I do?” or “How can I help?”. In thinking about how to get him to slow down and rest, I would like to ask for your help to get him a "recovery chair" where he can do just that. He doesn't have a "dad's chair/recliner"; a place where he can not only let his body heal, but also serve as a reminder to him that his colleagues care about him, want him to rest and recover so he can return to work.
Thus, if you would like to contribute to helping Mike’s recovery, this would be a great way to do so! And if anyone knows where I can get a Salesforce pillow or something like that to put on the chair, please let me know. Maybe some of you can sign the pillow with a message or something; just a thought.
Finally, THANK YOU for all your thoughts, prayers, willingness to help Mike during this time. He has been amazed by everyone’s response since the accident and feels truly blessed to work for such an amazing company with the best people. A lot of his strength and positivity seems to come when he talks about Salesforce and many of you!
