On May 7th, 2016 we unexpectedly lost Nick Curran.
Nick was an Senior Claims Representative for Mercury Insurance, Nick was only 39.
My family and I first met Nick back in 2000 when we acquired my business on Old Cliffs Road and he was there as a Metal Technician. a few years later he moved on to the Insurance industry. On May 7th, our industry and for that matter our world, lost an amazing young man.
Nick passing was a surprise to everyone that knew and loved him, he was much too young and was so full of life and energy.
Every time he walked in the door, he just had that beautiful smile. He will be missed, he was genuinely a good man, with a heart of gold.
Nick leaves his wife Angie, who is a stay at home mom taking care of their 2 young boys, Macallister age 8 and Kingston age 4.
Nicks passing leaves Angie and the boys with a mortgage, while taking care of their two sons, plus all of lifes expenses.

Nicholas James Curran, age 39, of San Diego, CA died peacefully surrounded by family May 7, 2016 in San Diego.

Nick was a gentle, kind, loving man who gave joy to all who met him with his smile, quick wit and caring manner. He enjoyed spending time with his family - playing soccer with the boys at the playground or in the garage; visiting family in Iowa and Wisconsin where some entertaining euchre games took place. He had a passion for baseball and football, following players and stats. He enjoyed cooking homemade meals that were legendary for his San Diego friends and family.
Nick continues  to give joy to others by being a Donor for Life.
