Housing for BIPOC female and her Pit.

Hello everybody, my name is Kamryn and this is my best friend Loki. I am a passionate singer, nature enthusiast and cook! I’ve worked full time at Sundance kitchen for over a year. To anyone who is a minimum wage worker trying to secure housing, this is an all too familiar story. For the past year I have been living in a make-shift bedroom, in a shack in a family members backyard. In the past two years I’ve lost multiple immediate family members due to drug and alcohol abuse, therefore I have essentially zero financial support, outside of my own wages. Like most of my family, the individual that I live with struggles with meth addiction. I recently discovered proof of this in the bathroom we share. In addition to this information, I’ve found letters addressed to our house stating that the county has foreclosed on the home this past week. When talking to my family member about this I’ve been met with extreme denial, almost as if nothing is happening. Because I support myself financially, it has been close to impossible to save money outside of my current rent, food, dog, gas expenses. I can afford monthly rent, since I do have stable income. I’ve saved $600 but I cannot afford to save the amount needed to pay first/last/deposit on a rental, in the very short amount of time I have. That’s why I’m raising this money. All the money that I raise would ONLY go to application fees, first/last/deposit once I get approved and moving expenses such as gas and U-haul. I’ll also be using the money to pay for a couple therapy sessions or a doctors visit to get Loki a legitimate emotional support letter. I need the funds to do this because, like many, I can’t afford health insurance, and because of breed restrictions on almost every rental in Eugene, I would need to prove he is essential to my mental health (which he very much is) to get approved. I just want to add that making a go fund me was the very last thing I wanted to do, but given my circumstances I chose to turn to my community for help❤️ I want to take the time to thank anybody who has read this, if you cannot afford to donate please spread the word and share!
