26.2 to Support Alzheimer’s Caregivers

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Grace and this December I am running my first marathon to raise funds for Mind What Matters, a non-profit dedicated to supporting Alzheimer's caregivers, in honor of my mom!

My mom was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's in her mid-fifties. Since then my family's journey with this disease has been difficult to say the least, but it has brought out a side of resilience and strength that I hold dear to my heart.

Each year, more than 16 million Americans provide more than 17 billion hours of unpaid care for family and friends with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (CDC.gov). Having experienced firsthand the toll and challenges this disease presents to families, I cannot begin to describe the impact respite care can have on those most in need.

Mind What Matters is a non-profit that supports the new generation of Alzheimer’s caregivers by providing financial aid, community, and resources to prevent and care for memory disease. Your donation will go towards their Caregiver Relief Fund which pays for patient care so Alzheimer’s caregivers who sacrifice so much can have time for themselves and for their families (www.wearemindwhatmatters.org).

On behalf of my family and all those impacted by Alzheimer's - thank you so much for consideration and support!

Grace
