This year, I’m running the Colfax Marathon (26.2 miles) for more than a finish line — I’m running to save a horse from entering the slaughter pipeline.

Thousands of horses each year are sold at auction and shipped to slaughter simply because they ran out of time, money, or options. This fundraiser is focused on one horse, one life, and giving them a second chance through rescue, transport, and immediate care.

My goal is to raise $1,000, which helps cover:

Bail from auction

Safe transport

Initial veterinary care and placement with a rescue

Every mile I run represents a commitment to this cause, and every dollar donated goes directly toward saving a slaughter-bound horse.

If you can give, share, or follow along — thank you.

This run is for compassion, endurance, and the belief that one life is always worth saving.

Every dollar helps. Every mile matters.
