We’re Lucas and Taylor, and we’re taking on 26.2 miles at Brighton Marathon on the 12th April, to give something back to a service that we are grateful for.

We’re running this marathon to raise money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance — one of the incredible emergency services that helped save our friend Brandon’s life.

Brandon was involved in a serious accident and, tragically, lost his leg. It’s something no one ever expects to face. In the most critical moments, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance crew were there. Their speed, skill and professionalism played a huge part in giving Brandon a fighting chance.

Because of them — and the amazing hospital teams that followed — Brandon is still here and showing his strength every day with recovery.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance relies heavily on public donations to keep flying and saving lives. They are there when people need them most — often on the worst days imaginable — and they make miracles happen in the sky.

So we’ve decided to push ourselves physically and mentally by running a marathon in Brandon’s honour and in support of the team who helped save him.

Every mile we run is a thank you.
