We will keep this simple!
Matt (me!) and my brother Darren have taken up the challenge to run our first road marathon together in Stockholm on May 30th. While not a unique challenge, it gives us to opportunity to speak up about; and raise money for, too causes extremely close of our hearts.
Firstly, Parkinson's UK. Our Dad is one of the many Parkinson's suffers across the UK. He inspires us with his optimism and energy to his passions for Photography and walking Football... I hear an England call-up is on the cards. We want to dedicate the 26.2 miles to him, and to raise money to help the wonderful work Parkinson's UK do and contribute to the hope for a cure.
Secondly. After a close family friend lost his life to suicide, we know all too deeply the mental health challenges many young men go through and the deep fried suicide can cause family and friends. Beder, a charity that takes a unique approach to softly raising awareness around mental health and suicide prevention through exciting events and initiatives, offer therapy vouchers that give free therapy digitally to hundreds of people (and put on some great football matches!!)
We can't thank both charities enough for supporting causes that mean a lot to us both. So, we need just a little of your help. We understand times are challenging, but even a small donation would help us get round the course that little bit stronger.
Thank you in advance and we hope to do Parkinson's UK and Beder, our friends and family proud on the day.
Thankyou
Matt & Darren Warner
