Help Chase Through Crisis

Hi everyone! My name is Christina, and I am fundraising for Chase Allen. Chase is the love of my life, and I am so grateful for the 3 years we have been together. Chase is a hardworking, kind, altruistic, family oriented man. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He has unwavering love and respect for all of his family, including his mother, brother, aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins. His primary goal is to make sure those closest to him are being taken care of and are comfortable. He is a godsend, and I’m so thankful for him. He is the hardest working man I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. I can always count on Chase to bring a smile to my face or anyone who is around him for more than a few moments. Even in agonizing pain, Chase still keeps his upbeat attitude. When he first moved to South Carolina, he started from the ground up; that means he went on the hunt for a job, found one, and then drove his bicycle to and from work 16 miles every single day. He worked all the way to a more comfortable lifestyle and kept working hard. He never complained, and to this day I have only heard him strive to want to do more for himself and his loved ones. He gives his all for anybody who needs it, no questions asked. Unfortunately, Chase has been involved in some major accidents in the past 2 months. He and I are in dire need of some support from anyone who is able. I have attempted to determine if I can receive any government assistance, but that has been to no avail. We are reaching out because we have no other option. I have exhausted all of my savings, maxed out all of my credit cards, and I’m living paycheck to paycheck to afford a roof over our heads and feed ourselves. You might ask what put us into this situation. Early September, Chase was involved in a hit and run accident on the interstate where he was able to make it out unscathed, but was left with a totaled vehicle and a hit and run collision. September 30th, 2020 he had a grand mal seizure (the ones you see in movies with convulsions). During his seizure, Chase dislocated his shoulder 4 cm and fractured his humerus in multiple locations. He was working while he had his seizure and his coworker, in terror, called 911 to help Chase. Four days later, Chase was feeling ill and doing awful. I rushed him to the emergency room, and they ran many tests. But Chase had gone into kidney failure. His levels were so high that the doctor’s thought his test was a fluke, but realized his situation was very serious once the blood results produced the same results after 3 tests. I’m thankful we went to the Emergency Department that night because if we hadn’t Chase would not have made it. Chase has been able to finally lower his creatinine levels (the creatinine measures the way his kidneys function) after a lengthy hospital stay; we have been able to make improvements with his renal failure so he will be able to avoid dialysis and is no longer on death’s door. As I write this article, Chase is in the operating room having surgery on his arm he injured during his seizure. Chase cannot drive until he is cleared by a doctor because of his seizure. In order to get him to all of his necessary appointments, I’ve had to take an unpaid leave of absence. In South Carolina, after one has had a seizure, you may not drive for 6 months, unless cleared by a neurologist. Chase is uninsured, so I’m paying for all of his medical costs out of pocket. To receive a visit with a neurologist it’s a $350 co-payment. I haven’t received all medical bills, but I know that the bills are quickly adding up and his surgery will cost about $40,000-80,000. We will tackle those bills and work out plans when that comes, but all I’m asking for is help for a man who works hard to make sure his loved ones are taken care of. It is dire and I am begging for help. Or even advice on how not everyone o lose everything. I have expended almost all of my resources. We have about one more month left before we lose everything we have been fighting to hold together, while I allow Chase to be in peace and recuperate from his terrible injuries. I can’t even express how grateful and thankful Chase and I would be for any help. Chase just wants to get back to being healthy, so he can return to work and get back on his feet. I’m begging sincerely, to save us while we recover from these tragedies. We are struggling to afford groceries and pay other bills we once would have been able to pay before Chase’s health travesties. Anything can help us, no matter what it is. We truly would appreciate any kind of assistance and support. Thank you again, from the depths of my heart. I appreciate anyone giving a few minutes to read this and consider donating to our cause. Much love and thanks from Christina and Chase. We appreciate any prayers, support, and kind words!
