Tangie Gray Cancer Support Fund

Our friend Tangie needs our help!  As you may or may not know Tangie was diagnosed on December 2, 2015 with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) breast cancer with the BRCA2 gene mutation. This hereditary condition affects not only the breasts but the ovaries with the ability to mutate to other organs in the body if not treated properly. 

On January 28, 2016 Tangie underwent double mastectomy followed by 4 aggressive rounds of chemotherapy.  In addition, Tangie will have to schedule removal of her ovaries after she completes her chemotherapy and her oncologist clears her for that invasive procedure.

Tangie has been receiving short term disability benefits @ 100%; however due to her prolonged treatment that benefit has now been reduced tremendously.

Tangie is still expected to be out for another couple of months and this is where she needs our help.  Her medical bills continue to rise even with her insurance plan coverage.  

Tangie is a single mother of 2.  Her daughter Dazha, 17, graduates from DeSoto High School in June and has been recently accepted at University of North Texas where she will be starting classes in August.  Her son Kelvin, 16, is a sophomore at DeSoto High School also.

These everyday expenses along with incredible medical bills, trying to have minimal effect on her children's everyday life comes at a cost which Tangie is unable to manage alone.
