Urgent need to help with medical expenses
Hi everyone,
I’ve never met two more generous and deserving people than my dear friends David and Linda Taylor. For as long as I’ve known them, they have lived a life of giving and caring for others, oftentimes sacrificing their own needs.
David was very recently diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Stage IV Buccal cancer, which has metastasized to his neck. This form of oral cancer is extremely rare (just 10% of overall oral cancers in the US) and unfortunately is highly aggressive and with a high reoccurrence rate. The diagnosis in general has shocked everyone because David is neither a smoker nor a drinker. He doesn’t dip tobacco and he doesn’t have a family history of oral cancer. This aggressive cancer came on suddenly, out of nowhere, and seemingly without reason.
This will be a very long journey beginning with an intricate 12 hour surgery involving major neck dissection and reconstruction of his jaw. He will require a tracheotomy and a g-tube (stomach feeding tube). It is unknown how long he will be in the hospital. After 6 weeks, radiation and chemotherapy will begin.
Obviously David cannot work and Linda will need to be by his side as he will require constant care. They will have no income and they need our help. Please find it in your heart to keep them in your prayers and if you can help out financially, it would be greatly appreciated. Any amount will make a difference.
Please help by sharing this on your social media pages. Thanking you all in advance.
