We have learned that the chemo is no longer working to shrink the tumors in Kylah’s lungs, in fact it shows that they have grown a little. Due to the size of some of the tumors, we needed them to shrink in order for the surgeon to do another lung survey to try to remove them. Because they have grown, it proved the chemo isn’t doing its job, in fact kylah was having some side affects. Knowing all this & thinking of Kylah’s quality of life, we have decided on an at home oral chemo that will help slow down the growth of the tumors but it will not cure her. The doctors don’t know how long it will take before she starts feeling the effects of the tumors. They say weeks to months. So we will be trying to fill the remainder of Kylah’s life with joyful memories. She has expressed that she wants to interact with animals, so we will figure this out.
