Hi, a little over a year ago my then 9 month old daughter contracted meningitis while we were on vacation. Luckily she survived, many who get meningitis do not. However, she lost her hearing due to the illness. We had her implanted bilaterally with cochlear implants which are working great. But we are now left with the medical expenses and costs of the therapy to make sure she is developing on track. Although insurance has paid for much of it, we have a considerable out of pocket max and have been struggling to stay on top of all the payments. My husband has had to take much time off of work for the time she was in the hospital (two weeks) the numerous appointments and two surgeries she’s had since her illness. I know many are hurting financially due to Covid 19, but any help would be greatly appreciated and would allow us to continue the services Verity needs to continue to stay on track.
