Kenneth Jones

NEW: Kenny has been diagnosed with a brain tumor on October 2, 2020. We are still here in Ohio and very grateful for Cincinnati Children's Hospital. We have only just been diagnosed and beginning on this journey. Thank you for following along on his caring bridge site, and we will keep you updated. Kenny had a seizure at school which showed us his tumor. It is 1 inch long by 1/2 inch wide. He will be scheduled for surgery sometime before the end of October. We will not know if the tumor is cancerous or not until they remove it and biopsy it. We also do not know if there will be any loss of gross motor skills, mental capacity or personality changes until afterwards as well. Because if it is cancerous, they will need to remove extra tissue. He will also need to undergo chemotherapy and radiation. He may have a long road ahead of him. Larry will still be at home, and Tim will travel back and forth from the hospital and home every day.We are in need of gas money for Tim and food/meal cards for the hospital. It is not cheap to eat at the hospital, and it will add up quickly for both of us. Thank you for giving what you can. Every penny is a blessing!

OLD:    We moved to Cincinnati, OH in June 2010 from the West Coast  to be closer to the Children’s hospital so Kenny can be treated both for his GI and kidney issues together. We have been travelling back and forth to this hospital since 2008. It is the best in the country for his rare auto-immune conditions, and we know he will get the best care possible here in Oho.
