HELLO!
My name is Luis Colli, and from May 19-22, I was able to experience the most AMAZING, well actually it was OUTSTANDING (*claps to beat* O-U-T-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G), weekend of my entire life. The Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Organization's (HOBY) South Florida Leadership Seminar made me see what can happen when 80 kids that believe in a common goal, or simply share a common belief, come together and experience something like HOBY.
Not only was I lucky enough to be a part of something like the South Florida Leadership Seminar, but while I was there, I received recognition and many opportunities, and I made sure not to take any of these opportunities for granted. One of these opportunities is the chance to go to HOBY's World Leadership Congress.
However, due to my family's financial difficulties, I ask for some support. I found HOBY at a time where I truly needed it, and the first time around it was my friend that pushed me and started a Go Fund Me for me. This time around, it is up to me to push myself towards my goal, but I need the support from whoever can. This is truly a situation where any and all donations would help achieve the goal of $2000.
The truth is, HOBY, in just 3 days, completely changed my understanding on what it is to be a Youth Leader, a leader for the now. We talked to amazing speakers, became best friends, fed 10,000 children in 30 minutes, and learned not only from great minds but from each other, and if there is an opportunity to do this in a world wide level, with people of literally all cultures and walks of life, I have to take it.
I believe that my future will be one of the international life, one where I will be able to travel the world and help, HOBY is a platform for the beginning of this life, so it really would mean the world to me if you grant me the possibility to live my dream and my future.
