"Help save Michelle and Shawn from Homelessness"Hello everyone-My name is Michelle Lynn Montague-Tackett. Some of you may know me from my Vintage Homemaker blogs and videos or from my Nintendo articles. I am a trans woman living in Indianapolis, Indiana with my disabled brother, and I am organizing this fundraiser to help keep us in safe housing and off the streets. My brother Shawn and I recently escaped an abusive and unsafe housing situation where our former landlord destroyed all of our belongings, so any help would be very much appreciated. As a trans woman, I do not feel safe going to a homeless shelter, as I would be housed with cis men and lack any access to privacy. After spending one very scary night on the streets, I was recently able to secure temporary housing at an extended stay motel where I feel safe, but I will need help with the $250 weekly fee. Ideally, I'd like to be able to save up enough money to move out of Indiana to a state with better social services for both me and Shawn.Please consider donating to my fundraiser, every penny is very much appreciated.
