Jetta's Cancer Fundraiser

Hi Everyone. My name is Jetta! (I'm the big white one with the black patch on my eye) I am an 8 year old Argentinian Masstif. I met my Daddy, Ryan, in St. Catherines, Ontario when I was not even a 1 year old pup. He saved me from big scary people and brought me home to live with him! He even got me my own family! He rescued my sister Gizzy from bad people trying to make her a bad dog and brought home my other sister Treasure and Cay from the wild somewhere far away! He then found me a mommy too, Deandra! We've all had so many fun adventures together and a few years ago Mommy and Daddy finally bought us a house with a big back yard in Prince George, BC where Mommy works as a Nurse in the Emergency Department and Daddy is a Medevac Pilot. We have had such a great life together in the Mountains and at the Lakes! 2 years ago I was running SO fast through the forest I hurt my knee. I couldn't walk very well and needed surgery to fix it, Mom and Dad worked really hard and got it fixed so that I could run with my brother and sisters again! I've felt like a puppy again ever since. Last month I started feeling sick and wasn't acting myself and Mommy and Daddy noticed my lymphnodes were getting swollen. So, they brought me to the doctor and after some testing, the Doctor told them I have Lymphoma. They were really sad but the Doctor said that it is the one type of cancer we can treat and I could, hopefully, run with my family again! The Doctor said we had to be quick and get on it right away so my Mom and Dad called everywhere to find a place to help me. Vancouver said they weren't taking new patients because of too many other sick dogs like me and Calgary couldn't see me until after Thanksgiving. Mommy and Daddy were getting really sad but didn't give up! They called around some more and found somewhere called the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatoon and they could see me right away! There was only one catch, it was a really long drive to get there. They packed up all our stuff and off we went on a month long camping trip! They even brought my sister Gizzy with us to cuddle with on the drive! We have been living in our trailer for the past month while I have been getting my first few weeks of treatment. I had a really rough week last week and had to be admitted to the ICU but the Doctor's and their team here are so smart and love me so much that they made me feel much better, like a puppy again! I haven't felt this good in a long time and the human's say I'm going to feel even better than I have in a long time! I am so happy Mommy and Daddy found such amazing humans to help me fight my cancer and make me feel better again but I need to come back here another 15 times. My program is 19 weeks and they will have to drive me here to Saskatoon from Prince George, over 2500km, once a week, every week, for the next 15 weeks. Mommy and Daddy never ask for help but I know they could really use some to help cover the costs of my Chemotherapy and the costs for them to drive me here to see this amazing team. My pack and I would be forever grateful for whatever you could help us with and I know Mommy and Daddy would be overwhelmingly thankful as well.
