So... Parenting is interesting. So is divorce. Sometimes the father gets custody in the best interest of the children. Well, that means the responsibility for fighting for what is in the best interest of your children is paramount. I'd rather not have to fight at all.
I am being forced to go back to court to defend my integrity as a father and a man while still balancing what is best for my daughters in the immediate and for their long term emotional futures. I wish it didn't come to this. But I am being encouraged by my daughters mental health professional, adult leaders at both thier school and after school activities, and my daughters themselves (They have their own voices and feelings) to no longer accept the unneeded drama and tension we as a family have been enduring since the settlement. At that time it was assessed by many professionals that it was in the best interest of the girls long term that I have sole legal custody. That is not often the case in today's legal system. It is not a responsibility I take lightly (But I do have fun with them).
In all earnestness I have tried to co-parent to the best of my ability. I understand the importance of both parents to a child. I have tried to be accommodating, civil, and nice. But I have been met with false allegations and the situation as degraded to a point that I feel changes need to be made to put the well being of the girls first.
To do this, I need legal representation, and the attorney who is familiar with this case requires a legal retainer of $2600. I am asking for any assistance you can give to help with this legal retainer. I am unable to fund this myself in the short time needed, So I am turning to you my friends and fellow parents. I humbly ask for any assistance you can offer; something is better than nothing and anything is appreciated.
I need to have the retainer in place and my lawyer defending my daughters by the beginning of June. We have a mid June court date.
If you want to know why this means so much to me it is because being "The Papa" is my greatest role in life. I dedicate myself everyday to ensure my daughters are able to grow up to be world changers.
The Papa thanks you on behalf of my daughters and the girls thank you on behalf of the family.
