Friends and family of Roman! As many of you know, Roman has been fighting on the frontlines of COVID since the beginning. He started out on the COVID unit at St. Anthony Hospital in Denver, went to New York and is now in Texas. He is a brilliant and loving Respiratory therapist. Recently, Roman contracted the virus. He found out he was positive on September 29th and went into the hospital. Roman has pre-existing medical conditions that make him higher risk when it comes to severity of the illness. He is currently in the ICU, in Arlington, TX, fighting for his life. Yesterday, Roman was intubated and had a chest tube placed due to a pneumothorax. He went into cardiac arrest in the afternoon and was successfully resuscitated. Due to the heavy medications he is on, he is now in renal failure and has had a dialysis catheter placed and is now starting dialysis. His condition is critical but stable. Roman does not have health insurance, which is a road block in him receiving the best care and being in a hospital that can properly meet his needs. It also places a heavy burden on Roman and his family. Roman is not out of the woods. He has a very long road ahead and needs our help. Prayers, kind thoughts, and good vibes are welcomed. We also need financial assistance. Every penny matter, no gift is too small. Please consider aiding our friend in this way. Roman has cared so well for others, and now he needs us to care for him. Thank you for all of your outpouring of love to him and his family! *Roman’s sister, Monica Rosa, will be managing the financial donations from GoFundMe.
