My name is Nicole Tosh and I'm trying to raise money for my grandfather Larry Griffith who was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS) in August 2015. Over the past several months our family has had to watch him lose his mobility and his ability to walk. Unfortunately, he has fallen several times and has been hospitalized due to his falls. He has just been approved for a motorized chair after being denied twice. However, a chair lift needs to be aquired for transportation. My grandpa (Pappy) is a man of God, and is still in good spirits, and he preaches on Sunday mornings at my grandparent's church (ACTS) A Call to Salvation. My grandmother is very supportive and spends the majority of her time attending to his needs and making sure he is safe. When he falls she must rely on their neighbors to help due to the fact that they live in Georgia, and the rest of our family lives in Pennsylvania. I'm to be getting married to the love of my life in June and it breaks my heart that I won't have the opportunity to dance with my Pappy at our wedding, At this point we aren't sure how we are going to accomodate his needs to make the trip for him to perform the blessing of our marriage. I have decided to leave my friends, family and job to move to Georgia to help take care of my Pappy. His medication, doctor's visits, neurological tests, etc., are beginning to take a toll on my grandparent's financial status. Due to his pride and humbleness he continues to press on, and live each day with a strong will to live and fight, but by having a chair lift for transportation would truly be a blessing. Your prayers for a miracle for his legs to regain their strength would mean just as much. Thank you, and God Bless.
