Hi! My name is Ellen Lindblom. I am a 25 year old college student from Michigan and I have been a Democrat for as long as I can remember. Even before I really knew what it meant to be a political activist.

I have been a member of College Democrats ever since I began my collegiate studies at Northern Michigan University(NMU). From there, I became the president of the NMU College Dems, a Regional Director through the Michigan Federation of College Democrats for Northern and Upper Michigan, and am a member of the Marquette County Executive Committee.

My newest adventure includes being the President of our State Federation of College Democrats and an intern for the Lon Johnson for Congress Campaign in Michigan's 1st Congressional District.

And perhaps most exciting yet, I was recently elected to serve as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention(DNC) in Philadelphia this summer! I am so excited to represent my fellow democrats in Nothern and Upper Michigan at the DNC, as this is likely my last opportunity to do so in this capacity.

This has been a dream of mine ever since I started paying attention to politics. I always said, "if I ever go to the DNC, I can die happy" - just ask my mom! 

Unfortnately, this is a difficult task for a college student. The Michigan Democratic Party(MDP) and DNC do not offer funding assistance for delegates to attend the convention and costs are likely upwards of $3,000 for tansportation, food, and lodging for the week.

I am asking for your help. I can't let this opportunity pass me by. I will be able to contribute a small portion, but I'm hoping that my friends, family, and anyone else who is reading this might find it in their hearts to make my dream come true!
