We created this fund out of our tremendous love for the Norman family. Through dance, us moms and our daughters and families have come to know Janie, Pebbles, Jordan, and Maddie Norman very well. If you know them and you’re reading this, you would likely agree that to know the Norman family is to love the Norman family. When it comes to being loving, generous, and fun, there is no one quite like them. Which is why our hearts are broken right now.
Taji Norman was the mother of Jordan (15), Maddie (11), Jeremiah (8), and baby Marshawn (10 months), the wife of Antoine, the daughter-in-law of Janie, and the sister-in-law of Pebbles (Lora-Lynn). On August 15, Taji had a seizure in the middle of the night. The cause of the seizure is still unknown, and she had never had one before. She was brought by ambulance to the hospital that night. Taji never made it home from the hospital. The damage done by the seizure was fatal, and she went to be with God on Oct. 2nd. Taji was 37 years old.
We know Taji and Antoine’s family through dance, but we want to reach out to people who know them in other ways as well. Taji worked as a senior clerk for L.A. City Sanitation Department. Antoine works for the City of L.A. Motor Transport. The three older Norman kids attend local public schools. Pebbles works for …. Taji and Antoine were together for over 20 years. In these ways and more, this family has touched a lot of lives.
