Frankie Bear’s Memorial Gala & Burial Fund

(posted by Franks best friend and roommate Lazarus whom Frankie whispers to)

I’m dead

I'm haunting my best friend he is channeling me

Come to my memorial funeral party let’s celebrate instead of to be sad I had a good life let’s party

I had so much fun with all of my beautiful people

I had a good life but in the end I was in so much pain I couldn’t take care of my birds I couldn’t take care of myself and I don’t wanna be a burden to anybody

I couldn’t stand to be in the hospital anymore so was fine with me to go

I'm still around for now

Please help him to pay for my funeral and burial expenses that’s the main thing anything extra will send to take care of my mother 94 in Brasil

Francisco Almeida passed peacefully on Saturday morning, December 17, 2023. He was intubated and sedated. I had been to see him twice the night before. They said he had more time.

Frank suddenly and unexpectedly presented with stage four tumors and crippling back pain at the beginning of November. He couldn’t work but he could walk around for short periods. he wasn’t “sick” otherwise. We thought it was just like normal back pain and aches, nerves, getting older, etc. the pain travelled back and forth to his elbow, to his leg, then back to his spine. We thought it was a nerve issue or something. We didn’t think it was cancer. We went for checkups every three months. He loved going to the doctor’s, loved that attention. He was a pessimistic hypochondriac masochist in that regard.

He had a growth in the back of his lungs pressing on his spinal column causing him debilitating pain. They operated and removed that tumor causing him the most pain, but there were several more. His strength declined shortly thereafter and he passed a few days later from multiple organ failures. He charmed all the doctors and nurses, in the way he always did. They had fun with him.

He was completely caught off guard and unprepared. He sent all his extra money to take care of his 94 year old mother in Brazil, so no savings, no life insurance. He was about to collect a social security pension after working on the books for 30 some years but hadn’t completed that process.

His wish was to naturally buried and return to the earth. All funds raised after covering his expenses will be sent to support his 94 year old mother in Rio. Proof of transfer and itemized receipts will be posted to socials. There was talk of having a fundraiser gala show for him at Joyface before his strength failed. When I told him about he said he hoped they raise ten thousand dollars, that’s why I set the goal to 10k. I know funerals can be expensive, but I feel like this should cover the costs and leave extra for his mom. I am making him a simple wooden casket. He won’t be embalmed. No post mortem was performed, per his wishes of minimal invasive procedures, minimal discomfort.

DM his accounts with any questions or anything to share. I have his phone. He called me his best friend. He was one of mine too. I called him my uncle and my gay housewife cause he cooked and cleaned and did my laundry and made my bed and packed me lunches to bring to work and held it down at the house and we didn’t have sex, just like a real marriage. I deeply miss him and wish we had spent more time together. He was a great friend and will me dearly missed.
