Today we, the Sanchez family, are reaching out to you in hopes of receiving help to properly bury my mom. On October 1st my mom, Margarita Sanchez, unfortunately lost the battle against COVID-19. She had been battling the virus for over 75 days in the ICU. At the age of 53 she fought hard against the odds to live through two heart attacks, kidney failure and a stroke. We had high hopes she would recover for she was being transferred to a different facility to begin rehabilitation within a few days. After not seeing her for a couple months due to her hospitalization and being stationed at Camp Pendleton, I was looking forward to spending some time with her before being shipped out of state.
She was not only my mom, but my best friend. My mom was the most kind, loving person, and selfless person. She was always there for me and my family through the thick and thin, and we will miss her so much. My family and I are grieving her loss but unfortunately the pandemic has hit us hard and we are unable to come up with the financial cost of a proper burial for her. We understand many of us have been hit hard with the pandemic, but if you could please help us during this time, we would truly appreciate it. I’m asking for a small donation since the hospital only gave us two days to arrange a funeral and we believed she was coming home to us soon so this is all very unexpectedly.
