Well, here we are 17 months later and only marginally closer to my goal of No Evidence of Disease. As many of you know I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Her2+ Breast Cancer at 28 weeks pregnant with my son Keeper (November 2019) and I made the absolute promise that I would do everything possible to be here with him for as long as possible and I meant it. 

This past several months I have researched and employed near EVERYTHING that could give me an edge (extreme diet changes, supplements, numerous therapies) while undergoing one chemo protocol after another, only to be disappointed by growth after growth. This led me to buckle down and devote myself to a 6 month stint of going the natural route before I felt it was time to employ an integrative approach. 

Fast forward to now. Turns out that though 40% of my tumor is in fact Her2+, the other 60% is the veracious and completely different Triple Negative variety, and that’s nothing to mess with. To be honest, it’s a miracle that it is currently contained in my breast and 2 lymph nodes and I truly believe this is a testament to my multifaceted and disciplined approach, combined with the prayers and energy you’ve been putting up for me. 

Leaving the Western Front in need of tweaking,  so we are changing it up from treatment specific to targeting the Her2 receptors to a Triple Negative approach, which means I get to revisit the “harsh, lose-your-hair-and-exist-on-the-floor-for-2-months” chemo variety.

Which is great in the sense that I’m ready to finally blast this tumor however the timing could not be worse...

At this point my mom is recovering from major back surgery and unable to help as much with Keeper, but we’re just going to make it work. 

In addition to finally being on the proper chemo regimen, I will continue all of the natural treatments, diet and supplements that I am convinced has and will continue to make all the difference. 

So here we are. 

Expenses:

My biggest monthly expenses are child care, which has fortunately been addressed by a dear friend ♥️

And of course, healthy, organic food for Keeper and myself. Again we’ve been blessed to have another friend line up a food delivery for Keeper and we also received a very generous gift card for organic fresh squeezed juice. 

Remaining expenses are:
$300/month Organic food for myself
$500/month hyperbaric oxygen chamber rental
$300/month for supplements
$3,500 for cold-capping to reduce hair loss

We appreciate any monetary assistance, but have been more than blessed by the generosity of others, so are equally as grateful for your intentional thoughts and prayers for the chemo to go where needed and endless good scans in the future
