25k walk for Youth Mental Health

We are taking part in the Ultra Challenge South West Coast 25K walk, which includes a 570m climb.

 

We are doing this in aid of a charitable foundation extremely close to our hearts - The William Hawkins Foundation which was established at the end of 2021 in memory of William, our 20 year old twin son.

 

 He was a lovely, intelligent and compassionate young man with a great sense of humour and a bright future ahead of him. He had recently achieved his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award with his twin brother Tom and, following a gap year, was due to embark on a History degree at Exeter University.

 

As you can imagine, our family and close friends were devastated by his loss.

 

His brother, Tom resolved to do something positive to try and help young people who find themselves struggling with their mental health. The Foundation raises funds to provide emergency counselling for young people in crisis; raise awareness in schools and support youth mental health and suicide prevention charities.
