Dear friends & family,

My Mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2023. It was the scariest day of her life. Since then, she has been fighting the good fight. She has had almost 20 chemo treatments, 26 rounds of radiation treatment and major abdominal surgery. She has been hospitalized a couple of times due to the chemo. Her life consists of going from one appointment to the next. Oh, and did I mention she has been working 5 days a week during this whole process?

Anyone who knows my mom knows how special of a woman she is. She has the ability to light up the room with her positivity and smile even if she feels the worst out of everyone. She's the first to help even if she can't afford to and has this wonderful ability to see the joy in the smallest things like a beautiful cloud or flower. I love her with all my heart and know I would not be the man I am today if it wasn't for her

The reason I am reaching out is because although my mom is one of the strongest people I know, having to work almost full time while trying to fight pancreatic cancer has been so hard on her. She is a medical transcriptionist and uses her hands to type. Due to the chemo treatment, it has caused neuropathy (numbness/pain/tingling) to her hands and feet and ongoing brain fog. This has made her job challenging and therefore causing high levels of stress. I can see she is becoming exhausted. Now is the time she should be focusing on a good diet and physical therapy, but she has no time due to work. If that's not bad enough, we just found out her work is changing their insurance, meaning they will no longer cover some of the care she needs.

My goal with this fundraiser is to allow her to take a break from working and actually heal and recover from this very scary cancer. Your contributions will also allow her to pay the bills she might incur due to the lack of insurance coverage. I ask you from the deepest depths of my heart to please help and donate if you can so my mom can heal, beat this cancer's butt and ring that bell.
