Here is my Beautiful, Courageous and Inspiring God-Daughter Saoirse. She is 5 years old and went to the hospital this week with pains in her belly. An MRI scan has found stage 5 wilms tumours in both kidneys which has also spread to her lungs.

She has started aggressive chemo to hopefully reduce the tumor in her left kidney which will then need to be removed. The picture above is just before she started her first chemo session. They hope to save the right kidney if she responds well to the treatment. She will then hopefully start radiation treatment on her lungs in approximately 6 weeks time.

Our families are devastated but remain strong with all of the support from family, friends and even people we don't know.

Right now, our focus is to help Saoirses family financially to ensure they can support her full time through this difficult journey. They will need to spend the next 8-9 weeks in Christchurch, followed by regular trips back and forth from Wellington over the next 8-12 months.

This is a long journey where every little will help massively. This page has been created for anyone who would like to help us and we thank you all in advance from the bottom of our hearts.
