Karen was diagnosed with ALS in December 2014. ALS is a very expensive disease. Needs range from a Handicapped van to travel to ALS Clinic in Seattle, help getting her home handicapped accessable, and many other medical needs as ALS progresses.   
Karen is a very strong willed person and wasn't looking forward to doing this. But her friends have encouraged her to accept help from all of us.
