Hi, my name is Caria and this is my son Kyson. My baby is the average 2 year old. Full of life. There are moments when I can't keep up with him, from cleaning up popcorn that he's thrown on the floor and made snow angels in, to scrubbing his finest permanent marker artwork off the walls. This little guy keeps me on my toes. Then there are the moments when he could melt my heart just by saying bless you when someone sneezes, to the way he has to hold my ear to fall asleep.
On May 3 Kyson had been playing with his "Sugarmoma" (my mom) being his normal self and tripped over her leg and fell and hit the back of his head. Moments later Kyson started vomiting every 10 mins for almost 4 hours we rushed him to Tennova Healthcare in Jackson, TN and they performed a cat scan that resulted in him possibly having fluid on his brain. He was immediately scheduled thereafter for a MRI at Jackson General Hospital. On May 12 the MRI reviled that Kyson had a very large tumor and that we had to be rushed here to LeBoneur Children's hospital... where we found out that not only did he have a large tumor but that it was also cancerous and that he will need to have brain surgery on Tuesday May 17.
It has been a very trying few weeks... As you can imagine we were devastated. We never knew that when we woke up that Thursday morning That we'd be in Memphis Tennessee at LeBonuer fighting a cancerous tumor in my 2 yr olds brain. JESUS!
Kyson went into surgery on May 17 and is now recovering. He has to go through occupational, speech, and physical therapy and also does not have full use of the right side of his body. He will be admitted to St. Jude hospital in a couple of weeks, depending on his progress that he's made here. There he will start receiving radiation and chemo therapy.
My Husband Chris and I are asking for your prayers, your support, and understanding. We need your help. We also have two other children our 8 year old son Ta'Cori who's autistic and our 6 year old daughter Kendalyn.
This has taken a tremendous toll in on our family...
Yes, we are Emontionly and Financially drained. However, Spiritually we are STRONG!
We have not left our Son's side. We have just received temporary housing across from the hospital. Yet, and unfortunately there is a long recovery road ahead of us. We need any and all support of any kind. We are becoming financially unstable. We are asking for any donations. This is to assist us with our housing once we return home to Jackson, TN. Our two beautiful other children are back at home with extended family. No amount is too small or too big. Please we need your support today.
